PSALM 19:2

They did hear.

The Jews heard the Gospel

in the times of Isaiah,

and other prophets,

although they disbelieved

the report of Jesus’

WORK of REDEMPTION.

***

Jesus’

WORK of REDEMPTION

was heard from John the Baptist,

and many “religious folks”

were pleased with John the Baptist’s

ministry for a while.

***

People heard Jesus Christ himself

Preach of Jesus’

WORK of REDEMPTION,

in the ETERNAL SALVATION

of men’s Souls,

Who Spoke as No man ever did,

with Power and Authority,

as the Scribes did not,

and they wondered

at His Gracious Words.

***

People in the New Testament heard

the Apostles of Jesus Christ,

who for some time

were limited in their ministry

to them only,

and after the Apostles’ Commission

was enlarged,

within an Organized

church Capacity

they were still ordered to preach

to the religious Jews, first.

So that they could not say

they had not heard of

Jesus’

WORK of REDEMPTION,

in the ETERNAL SALVATION

of men’s Souls,

and they were left

entirely inexcusable.

***

The Gentiles also had heard

Jesus’

WORK of REDEMPTION,

the apostles were bid to go into all the world,

and preach the Gospel to every creature;

and at a proper opportunity,

they did as the Lord commanded them,

and the Gentiles heard the Gospel

with joy and pleasure;

multitudes were converted everywhere,

and churches raised through their ministry,

according to the will of God;

thus,

“their sound went

into all the earth,

and their words

to the ends
of the world”.

HOW ABOUT NOW ?

***

1 {To the chief Musician,

A Psalm of David.}

***

“The Heavens Declare

the Glory of God

and the Firmament

Shows His Handiwork.”

?

***

NOTE on VERSE 1a: By “The Heavens Declare the Glory of God”, we are not to understand this as the heavens taken literally, although the “LITERAL HEAVENS”, along with “the firmament” are the Handiworks of God, ALSO, and the “LITERAL HEAVENS” and “the firmament” do Declare the Glory of His Perfections, especially His Wisdom and Power;

AND the “LITERAL HEAVENS” and “the firmament” show that there is a God, and that He is a Glorious GOD:

But we view “The Heavens”, AS THE CONGREGATIONS of GOD’S PEOPLE, ORGANIZED by HIS AUTHORITY, whether, The Nation of Israel in their Temples or New Testament Children of GOD ( in the Kingdom of Heaven ), WHO HAVE ALSO BEEN BAPTIZED into ONE of THE LORD’S CHURCHES.

***

NOTE on VERSE 1b: The Targum interprets

the heavens and the firmament,

of such persons as contemplate the heavens,

and look up to the firmament or air;

and so do some other Jewish writers F23.

F23 Jarchi & Kimchi in loc.

“But I say ,

Have they not heard ?

Yes truly,

their sound

went into all the earth,

and their words

to the ends of the world.”

2 Day to day utters Speech,

and night unto night

shows knowledge.”
