There Is Only One Savior

As many unbelievers revile Christianity,
there seems to be
an inherent sadness in their voices,
laced with anger.
…
While we can readily recognize the anger
in the charges they make,
it takes careful observation to see that this anger
is not so much directed at Christians,
as it is toward God Himself.
They most often say things like,
“all religions are the same,”
or
“If there is a God,
why do children endure pain and die,”
or
“why are there brutal wars”,
or
“why is there so much suffering in the world.”

( NOTE: The “Answer”
for All Time and Eternity is that
All of Mankind has fallen
into a Dead Spiritual State of being:
SINNERS AGAINST GOD;
as the result of God’s First Created Human Being,
ALL of the Human Race’s
Greatest, Great-Grandfather, ADAM,
CHOOSING TO SIN AGAINST GOD.

Then, Adam fell into a Dead Spiritual State
of being
“A Sinner Against God”
and his Dead Spiritual State
was PASSED ON TO ALL OF US,
and
WE ALL BECAME:
NATURALLY BORN SINNERS,
i.e., NONE of “us” need to be “taught”
HOW to LIE,
HOW to STEAL,
HOW to HATE, etc./
We INSTINCTIVELY
“KNOW” THOSE THINGS,
“NATURALLY”. )

( CONTINUING: )
Their logic being,
( NOTE: While REASONING with a “mind”
that has Suffered
THE SINNED CURSE FALL of ADAM,
as above )
if there really was a God,
He certainly would not Allow this.
…
But what they don’t realize is
that they are trying to forge a “god” of their own design,
fashioned after what ‘they’ think is best for Him to do.
…
The simple truth is,
that wouldn’t be a Sovereign God at all.
…
Of course this is ( SIN-CURSED ) man
creating an image of a God
after the imaginations of his own heart.
It is an attempt to “create god”,
rather than receive the God of the Bible.

They fail to comprehend that man
was created in the image of God,
not the other way around.
…
It is God Who Defines the Character
and Nature of Who He IS,
not man.
…
It would be foolish of the thing Created
to say to the Creator,
“this is not how
we think You Should Operate.”
…
God is the Great
“I Am,”
and so He is not subject to man’s
( SIN-CURSED )
humanistic reasoning and sensibilities.

Again, it is man who is Subject to God,
and
God doesn’t have to answer to man.
…
Questions like,
“why did God Put me here
if He’s going to Send me to Judgment”
are a product of the rebellion
and
arrogance in man’s heart
that is what is actually Sending him to Judgment.

No one stands before God’s Judgment
for any wrong doing on God’s Part,
but for their own wrong doing
…
As we see
in GOD’S OWN WORDS,
in Ezekiel 18:20;
…
“The soul that sins, it shall die.
The son
shall not bear
the iniquity of the father,
neither shall the father
bear the iniquity of the son:
the righteousness of the righteous
shall be on him,
and the wickedness of the wicked
shall be on him.”
…
Each man is Judged for his own sin,
and
that Judgment is Righteous
and
Deserved Judgment.
…
Since by definition
God is
The Divine Creator of Heaven and Earth,
Holy, True, and Trustworthy,
it is utterly foolish for man to question Him
as if He were the suspect of some kind of crime.
…
Yet this is the warped ( SIN-CURSED ) way of thinking
demonstrated in carnal man.

An analogy would be a criminal
arguing with a righteous judge,
declaring:
“Sure I killed someone and I know it was wrong,
but that’s the way I was born.
Can I help it if I enjoy killing?
That doesn’t mean that I deserve to be punished
because I enjoy killing, as I didn’t ask to be born!”

That’s the same attitude and
( FALSE “SENSE” of ) justification
that the unsaved possess.

Shall the righteous judge ‘wink’
at this reasoning and set him free without punishment?
Shall the judge reply to the man:
…
“Your objection is valid,
you didn’t ask to be born
and so you’re not responsible for having a nature
wherein you enjoy killing people.”
…
Of course we know that this
would not be righteous judgment, nor justice.
…
On the contrary,
it would be unrighteousness and injustice.
…
Likewise, it is not God Who is unrighteous
in His Judgments of man
for his sundry transgressions,
( Each Individual Person’s
various SINS AGAINST GOD )
it is man
( Each Individual Person )
who likes his lawlessness (sin),
and doesn’t want to have to pay for those crimes.

2.6 THE HONOR and HAPPINESS of MAN,
Adam was in A STATE of INNOCENCE,
THE HONOR and HAPPINESS of MAN
when Adam
was in A STATE of INNOCENCE.
Having considered the First
and
Principal Events of Providence
respecting Angels,
We shall proceed to consider
the First and Principal Events
of Providence as respect man,
as soon as man was Created,
and
when The First Man, ADAM,
was in his First Estate of INNOCENCE,
in the Presence of his
All-Knowing Creator God Almighty,
and
the Honor and
Happiness Adan Enjoyed
in that Estate of INNOCENCE,
WITHOUT “SIN”.

2.7 The LAW GOD GAVE to ADAM
and
The COVENANT AGREEMENT
GOD MADE with ADAM,
During ADAM’S STATE of INNOCENCE.

THE LAW GIVEN to ADAM,
AND
The COVENANT MADE with HIM
in HIS STATE of INNOCENCE;
IN WHICH
ADAM WAS THE FEDERAL HEAD
and
REPRESENTATIVE of HIS POSTERITY.
The Manner in which
God Governs Rational Creatures
is by a Law,
as the Rule of their Obedience to Him,
and
which is what we call God’s
Moral Government of the World;
and
as GOD Gave a Law to Angels,
which some of them Kept,
and have been Confirmed
in a State of Obedience
to THE LAW GOD GAVE THE ANGELS;
and
other ANGELS
BROKE THE LAW GOD GAVE THE ANGELS,
and Plunged themselves into Destruction
and Misery:
so God Gave a Law to Adam,
and which was in the Form of a Covenant,
and in which Adam Stood
as a Covenant Head to all his Posterity
in The ENTIRE HUMAN RACE.
We will endeavor to show what that Law was,
that it was in the Form of a Covenant,
and that Adam was a Federal Head
in The COVENANT GOD GAVE ADAM,
as The REPRESENTATIVE of ALL MANKIND.

2.8 THE SIN
AND
FALL of OUR FIRST PARENTS,
ADAM & EVE.

THE SIN AND FALL
OF OUR FIRST PARENTS.
The Law that was Given
to our OUR FIRST PARENTS,
ADAM & EVE
and
the Covenant Agreement
that GOD Made with them,
were soon Broken by them;
“They like men”
(or like Adam)
“have Transgressed
the Covenant”
(Hosea 6:7),
OUR FIRST PARENTS, ADAM & EVE
did not continue long
in their Obedience
to God’s Covenant “Law” Agreement,
and in that State of Integrity
in which they were Created;
but by their choice to sin,
fell short
from God’s Covenant “Law” Agreement
that God Had Given them,
into an Estate of sin and misery.

2.9 Just as Obedience to God
is Well Pleasing to Him;
so disobedience, in any case,
is Highly Resented by GOD.

THE NATURE, AGGRAVATIONS,
and
SAD EFFECTS
of
THE SIN OF MAN.

THE NATURE, AGGRAVATIONS,
AND
SAD EFFECTS OF THE SIN OF MAN.
First, The Nature of this sin:
It seems to have been inadvertent, thoughtless
and from being caught off guard;
it began with doubting and disbelief
of what God had Said;
appeared in an inordinate desire
after the forbidden fruit;
and
in an unlawful curiosity
of knowing more than he did:
and in pride, affecting to be as God;
at least to be on an equality with Angels.
The Nature of THE SIN
of THE FIRST MAN, ADAM,
may be learned in some measure
from the names it goes by;
it is called “sin”,
and
the “sin”,
the Grand “sin”,
the First and Fountain
of all sin among men (Rom. 5:12).
Adam’s sin is called a
“transgression”
(Rom. 5:14),
a transgression of the Law,
as every sin is defined (1 John 3:4),
a transgression of the Covenant,
a Breach of that Covenant;
and what is more heinous
than Covenant Breaking ?
to Break Covenant with men is a great evil;
but to Break the Covenant with God
is a greater still.
Adam’s sin is called
“disobedience”
(Rom. 5:19),
disobedience to the Will of God,
and to His Law;
and
as Obedience to God
is Well Pleasing to Him;
so disobedience, in any case,
is Highly Resented by GOD.

2.10 ALL of MANKIND
are affected
by THE SIN of ADAM
which gave us
“OUR CORRUPT NATURE”;
THAT’S WHY WE’RE
“SINNERS”.

THE IMPUTATION OF ADAM’S SIN
TO ALL HIS POSTERITY.
Having considered
the disobedience of our First Parents,
and the sad effects of it to themselves,
we shall next consider the concern
their Posterity have in the disobedience
of our First Parents,
WHEN THEY SINNED AGAINST ALMIGHTY GOD
and how much ALL of MANKIND
are affected by THE SIN of ADAM.
There are two things follow
on THE SIN of ADAM
with respect to THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE;
the Imputation of the Guilt of
THE SIN of ADAM
to EVERY LIVING SOUL in MANKIND,
and
the Corruption of Nature
derived to EVERY LIVING SOUL
from THE SIN of ADAM.

2.11 Mankind was Created by God,
Man sinned
and
Was SEPARATED FROM GOD
& All men Will be Judged.

THE CORRUPTION OF HUMAN NATURE.
Having proved the Imputation of the Guilt
of Adam’s sin to his Posterity,
what follows upon this is,
the Corruption of Nature
Derived BY ALL of MANKIND
from THE SIN of ADAM;
by which is meant,
the General Depravity of Mankind,
of All the Individuals of Human Nature,
and
of All the Powers and Faculties of the Soul,
and Members of the Body.
