the Twofold State of JESUS Christ,

His Humiliation and Exaltation;

and

considered each of the Offices

of Prophet, Priest, and King,

Sustained and Exercised

by JESUS Christ therein;

we will now proceed to consider

The Blessings of Grace,

which Come

by JESUS Christ,

through JESUS’ Exercise

of

HIS Offices

of Prophet, Priest, and King.

We will Especially Consider

Jesus Christ’s Priestly Office;

because

JESUS Christ is

“Come an High Priest

of Good Things to Come”

(Hebrews 9:11),

The Blessings of Grace

to Come through Jesus Christ

were Future,

under the Former Administration

OF GOD’S ETERNAL

COVENANT OF GRACE.

The Blessings of Grace

to Come through Jesus Christ

 were Promised, Prophesied of,

and Prefigured

in IN THE OLD TESTAMENT;

but Not Accomplished;

because;

“the Law”

had Only a Shadow

of these Good Things to Come,

as seen in Hebrews 10:1;

“Because the Law

Having a Shadow

of Good Things to Come,

and Not

the Very Image of the Things,

can never

with those Sacrifices

which they Offered

Year by Year Continually

Make the comers thereunto

Perfect.”

But Now

The Blessings of Grace,

are Come,

and

are Actually Obtained

by JESUS Christ,

through JESUS Christ’s

Coming in the Flesh.

The Blessings of Grace,

are Come,

and

are Actually Obtained

through what JESUS Christ

has Done

and

Suffered in the Flesh;

as Redemption,

Satisfaction,

and

Reconciliation for sin,

Remission of sin,

Justification,

Adoption, etc.

We look at Redemption First,

because Redemption

Stands in the First Place;

and

is a Principal

and

Redemption

is The Most Important Blessing

GOD GIVES TO HIS CHILDREN

and

Redemption

is DESCRIBED TO US

AS ONE OF GOD’S

DOCTRINES of GRACE.
