of the Glorious Eternal Plan of God
to ETERNALLY SAVE CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS,

I. It is proper to inquire,
whether a Wicked,
and
Un-REGENERATED
Naturally Born
and
therefore SINFUL man,
as Cain was,
can perform “Good Works”,
ACCEPTABLE To GOD.

These “Good Works” of Cain’s,
WERE FROM MAN,
IN CONTRAST
TO ETERNAL SALVATION
BEING FROM GOD !!

1. Adam was CREATED
in Innocence
and
had a Sinless Spiritual Condition
of his Soul
and
when CREATED Adam had power
to do every good work
the law required;
which ALL men,
ALL ADAM’S ‘CHILDREN’,
since ADAM’S fall
into a Natural State
of SINFULNESS,
have not.

ALL Men BORN SINCE ADAM are
in an Un-RE-Generated State of their Sinful Soul,

that are seen to men as “Good”,
which WE AS FALLEN SINNERS WILL Not Do;
such as reading the Scriptures,
attending on public worship,
giving to The Cause of Christ, etc.
No doubt, the persons in the parable,
who were invited to the dinner,
“could” have gone to it,
IF they had a will to DO SO,
as well as,
the “FALLEN SIN CURSED MAN”
that did Have A WILL to Go to his farm,
and the other “FALLEN SIN CURSED MAN”
that had A WILL to Go to his merchandise.
Men have an Equal Power,
PHYSICALLY = agreed:
IF they had an inclination
of their Heart, or a Will,
to go to a place of Divine Worship,
as they do to go to a tavern, club,
race, concert, strip joint, etc.
but it is easy to observe,
that persons often have it
in the power of their hands,
PHYSICALLY
when they
DO NOT
have it in the power of their hearts,
to do “a good work”;
SPIRITUALLY
as a rich man DID NOT
give to the poor.

Naturally SINFUL men
are capable of performing “Good Works”,
which are in a Natural and Civil Sense,
( The “Way” their Fellow
Sin Cursed “MAN” View them )
though not in an ETERNALLY SINLESS

God Saw Adam CREATED,
and
saw Adam as GOOD.
God Saw Adam’s SIN AGAINST GOD,
then,
as NOT GOOD.
Adam’s Sin RENDERED his Soul SINFUL,
INCAPABLE of ANYTHING BUT SIN.
A “SINNER”, as Adam and I, i.e.,
Adam’s “Child” SINS AGAINST GOD.
There is NONE GOOD,
FROM GOD’S SINLESS HOLY PERSPECTIVE,
NO NOT ONE.

Naturally SINFUL men
may do those things, which externally,
in appearance,
PHYSICALLY
and as to the matter and substance of them,
may be seen by us to be “good”;
such as hearing, reading, praying,
giving to the poor, etc.,
when they are required
by circumstances to do so,
and
may be doing what WE SEE, as “good works”;
however, whatever is to be done
“for GOD” for it to be SEEN by GOD
as SPIRITUALLY SINLESS ,
( and therefore Seen as “Good Works”,
in HIS EYES,
must be done in obedience
to the WILL of GOD;
from a principle of love to GOD
&
must be performed in Faith;
in the name of Christ,
and
to the Glory of God by him
and
can ONLY Be Done
BY The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD
IN a Person’s
ETERNALLY SAVED SOUL.
Therefore,
2. It must be denied,
that Wicked Individuals,
with a SINFUL NATURE to SIN
and
ONLY A SINFUL ABILITY
to SIN against God,
as Unregenerate, UN-SAVED men are,
have ANY power
to perform “good works”,
from God’s SINLESS Perspective,
in a Spiritual manner;
which is evident from their
Natural SIN-CURSED estate and condition,
BEFORE ALMIGHTY GOD
according to the scriptural representation
BIBLICALLY
of their Natural SIN-CURSED estate and condition,
which is this:
that the bias of ALL Naturally Born
SIN-CURSED minds
is to Think and Reason in such a way,
which is evil,
PERIOD
and
ONLY EVIL;
& that Naturally Born
SIN-CURSED Human Souls
are wholly carnal, separate
and
apart from God, Spiritually
( NOT Having The Spirit of GOD
RECREATED and REBORN into them )
and that Naturally Born
SIN-CURSED Human Souls
mind nothing else
but the things of the flesh;
PERIOD.
( “they”/ we have NO OTHER ABILITY ).
& that Naturally Born SIN-CURSED Human Souls
are weak and strength-less,
that is: WITHOUT the POWER of THE WILL,
to “Relate” to God:
JESUS said,
“YOU WILL NOT
COME to Me
that YOU MAY Have
ETERNAL LIFE !”
and yes, it is because ALL Naturally Born
SIN-CURSED Human Souls
NOT JUST Those LOST RELIGIOUSLY SOULS
JESUS was Speaking to:
but ALL of MANKIND
are SPIRITUALLY Dead TO GOD
in trespasses and sins, AGAINST GOD;
and IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for ANY
Naturally Born SIN-CURSED Human Being
to do that which is spiritually good;
There is none that does good, no,
not one of them/ us,
Nor are Natural Born SIN-CURSED
Human Souls able to be
subject to the law of God.
WE CAN’T KEEP The LAW of GOD !
When the Ethiopian changes his skin,
and the leopard his spots,
then may they also do good,
who are accustomed to do evil.
Men may expect as soon
to gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles,
as good fruit to grow upon, or “good works”
to be performed by Unregenerate men;
no, Natural SIN-CURSED Souls
in this Natural SIN-CURSED estate and condition
must be CREATED in Christ Jesus,
MUST have
the HOLY Spirit of Christ put into them,
and
His Grace implanted in them,
SPIRITUALLY;
they/ WE ALL Must be Spiritually REBORN
and RECREATED Believers in Him,
YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN
before YOU/ they/ we are Spiritually brought
from a State of SPIRITUAL DEATH
and able to “SEE” GOD.
WE ALL Must be SAVED
and BROUGHT to a State of SPIRITUAL LIFE
to have The HOLY SPIRIT
FOR “US” TO BE Capable of doing that
which is SINLESSLY Spiritually “good”.
ONLY THEN are we Being SEEN By GOD
THROUGH The HOLY SPIRIT
and
The PERFECT HOLY SPIRITUAL LIFE
AND SHED BLOOD of GOD the SON
that GOD GIVES the “Natural Born SINNER”
through ETERNAL SALVATION.
And even believers themselves,
Who Have BEEN GIVEN
Eternal Salvation of their Souls
are not able to think
a “good” SINLESS thought
or perform a “good”
Spiritually SINLESS work
by THEIR OWN HUMAN POWER.
It is God’s HOLY SPIRIT Who works
in the SPIRITUALLY REGENERATED SOUL
of a HUMAN BEING
both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
Sometimes when they ( “Saved” Souls )
have a will to that which is good,
Yet, the “how to perform Good”
( SPIRITUALLY ACCEPTABLE to GOD )
they ( “Saved” Souls )
do not ( in their HUMAN ABILITY ) know;
they can do nothing “Good”,
without JESUS CHRIST
and The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD,
although, They CAN DO all things “GOOD”
to Acceptably Worship GOD,
through JESUS CHRIST
and The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD,
Who SUPERNATURALLY Strengthens
and
EMPOWERS them
THROUGH The HOLY SPIRIT,
Now, IN Their HUMAN BEING
WITH An ETERNALLY SAVED SOUL;
So, much less do Un-Regenerate Souls
of Natural Born SIN-CURSED
Human Being Individual PEOPLE
have either a power or a will
to that which is Spiritually “good”,
as SPIRITUALLY SEEN
by an ETERNALLY HOLY, SINLESS, GOD.

3. Is there any foundation
for such a proposition
in these words:
“ If you do well,
will you ( Cain )
not be accepted ? “
— Genesis 4:7
which is hypothetically expressed,
and
there is therefore absolutely nothing
to be concluded
from these words;
that is to say,
we are not to argue from God’s saying to Cain,
If you do well,
that therefore Cain had a power to do well,
or to do that which is spiritually good, or well;
That is “Arguing from SILENCE”,
with No Evidence.
For “US” as Sinful People Reading these words
to simply infer,
AND
REASON With OUR SIN-CURSED MIND,
as OUR SINFUL WEAKNESS
COULD BE TEMPTED BY SATAN TO DO,
AND
“MAKE UP” SOMETHING LIKE:
that “God could not have
proposed the doing of good as a condition,
if he had not given Cain sufficient strength
whereby he was capable to do good.”
That is “Arguing from SILENCE”,
by Making Up Evidence
and
an Example of The DIFFERENCE
between GOD’S REVELED WRITINGS
to Mankind
And the REASONINGS of “a man”,
with THEIR SIN-CURSED MIND.
Since, God could NOT ONLY have Proposed
the doing
of PERFECT SINLESS SPIRITUAL
“Good” ACTIONS,
But THE GOD of The BIBLE
could ALSO
have Required
PERFECT SINLESS OBEDIENCE
according to His law,
without
THE ONE
and
ONLY TRUE God
being Under ANY Obligation
to give CAIN
OR ANYONE ELSE
sufficient SINLESS
SPIRITUAL strength
to “obey”
and
Perform such an Action;
WHY ?
BECAUSE, AS WE HAVE SAID:
through the First man, Adam,
ALL of MANKIND ( by Adam’s sin against God )
has ALREADY Lost ANY and ALL Power
to obey the will of God in a right Spiritual manner,
along with Adam’s Naturally Born offspring,
Seth and Cain,
AND ME & YOU AND The Entire HUMAN RACE;
And although man by Adam’s sin
and ALL of The ENTIRE HUMAN RACE
has lost his power to obey the will of God in a right manner,
The ONE
and
ONLY TRUE ETERNAL
GOD of The BIBLE
has NOT Lost His Authority
to Command Obedience
to His Law;
GOD is GOD;
as much as He was God
BEFORE ADAM’S FALL into SIN.
GOD is GOD
as much as He was God
WHILE JESUS HUNG on The CROSS.
GOD is GOD
and
GOD may use His Authority
to Command Obedience to His Law;
without obliging Himself to provide ANY “man”
sufficient SINLESS SPIRITUAL strength
to act in obedience to it.
That sufficient SINLESS SPIRITUAL strength
to act in Obedience to His Law
Was LOST
by ADAM
YOUR “DADDY” AND MINE
And LOST to ALL OF ADAM’S Children
( ALL OF “US”)
and the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE Forever;
Apart from The Eternal Salvation Covenanted
and Agreed by God,
FROM ETERNITY PAST
to PROVIDE LOST Human Beings
ETERNAL SALVATION
THROUGH the WORK of His Son,
Jesus Christ,
THE SAVOIR.
4. Besides, These words:
“ If you do well,
will you ( Cain )
not be accepted ? “
— Genesis 4:7
regard “doing well”,
not in a Spiritually Moral Sense,
but in a Ceremonial Sense.
Cain and Abel were taught very early
the Ceremonial necessity, manner,
and use of sacrifices;
to “Picture” Jesus’ BLOOD SACRIFICE
and in process of time
they brought their offerings to the Lord;
each according to his different calling
and employment;
the one son of Adam;
Cain, brought of the fruit of the ground,
the other son of Adam;
Abel, of the firstlings of his flock.
Now to Abel and his Ceremonial Offering
the Lord had respect,
that is, God accepted him, Able and his Offering,
of the firstlings of his flock;
but to Cain and his Ceremonial Offering God
had not respect;
God Did NOT Accept Cain’s Offering
brought of the fruit of the ground
which made Cain very wroth,
and his countenance fell;
upon which the Lord expostulates with him
in this manner,
Why are you wroth?
and
why is your countenance fallen?
If you do well,
Or, If you had offered rightly,
( as the Septuagint renders the words which
though it is not a proper literal translation of them,
yet is agreeable enough to their sense,)
shouldn’t you be accepted ?
Cain failed, Even Ceremonially,
either in the matter or manner of his sacrifice;
when he brought “a Sacrifice” of the fruit of the ground
probably in the latter; since the author of the
Epistle to the Hebrews observes, that
by faith,
Abel offered a more excellent sacrifice than Cain.
( Hebrews 11:4 )
by faith IN THE PROMISE of GOD
to PROVIDE HIM SALVATION,

Abel offered a more excellent sacrifice
having been taught very early

Cain offered his sacrifice without faith
and without any view to the sacrifice of Christ:
Because he Did NOT have “FAITH” WITHIN him,
CAIN Did Not Have Spiritual “FAITH
in JESUS CHRIST’S SACRIFICIAL DEATH for his Sin”
And he performed his sacrifice hypocritically,
in show and appearance only;
Not even Ceremonially “Correct”,
because he Did NOT SEE the Connection, Spiritually;
between his NEED
for the BLOOD SACRIFICE of JESUS
and the “Picture” of this Sacrifice
he was to “Offer”, Ceremonially
because Cain Did NOT HAVE the Connection,
to SALVATION
through the Blood of Jesus, Spiritually.
Cain Did Not act from a right principle,
nor right purpose;
because “The Right Principal” to Show ,
Ceremonially
AND
The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD
WAS NOT IN him,
by Eternal Salvation
and
therefore his “works”,
whatever a show of “righteousness”
they might have been,
( by his “Sacrifice” of Offering
a portion of his labor from the fruit of the ground )
are, by the apostle John, (1 John 3:12)
rightly called
“evil”;
and
is Evidence of an Evil, wicked
and unregenerate man
and
of ALL OTHER INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE
who are ALL also Equally Evil toward God
in ALL their “works” as wicked
and
unregenerate men,
in the Human Race,
APART from ETERNAL SALVATION.

We proceed,
II. To consider whether
man’s acceptance with God
is on the account
of his “good works”.
1. There is a difference between
the acceptance of man’s works,
and
the acceptance of them,
in their Sinful Human Persons
for their “works”:
There are many actions done by men,
which are acceptable and well-pleasing to God,
when the Sinful Human Soul themselves,
in their Sinful Human Persons,
are not accepted by God,
because, “a SINFUL BEING is NOT CAPABLE
of EARNING the RIGHT to Be ACCEPTED
into GOD’S ETERNAL HOLY PRESENCE,
on account of the Sinful Human Soul’s
PHYSICAL SIN CURSED “actions”.
NO SIN CAN ENTER GOD’S PRESENCE.
And No man’s “works” CAN BE accepted by GOD
EXCEPT Those: whose Sinful Human Soul
has FIRST Been ETERNALLY SAVED
by The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD
and their Human Persons SOUL,
HAVING BEEN previously accepted by God,
FIRST
as a Result of His Work in having SAVED Them:
They will then have the HOLY SPIRIT
within their SAVED SOUL.
God first had respect to the person of Abel,
THROUGH The NEW BIRTH,
SPIRITUALLY
and then to his offering;
which shows that Abel’s Soul Was NOT accepted
for the sake of his offering.
The best “works” of the Saved Souls or,
Biblically speaking, Saints
are still imperfect,
because even ETERNALLY SAVED “SAINTS”
and their “works” on this Earth all “Contain” sin.
Even a Eternally Saved BIBLICAL SAINT’S “works”
are only acceptable to God through Jesus Christ,
in Jesus whom, and in Jesus whom only,
who is the beloved Eternal Savior,
their Souls and Persons are accepted
and
well-pleasing to God.
No Sin-Cured Soul of Fallen man can be
OR HAS EVER BEEN
Justified or saved by his SIN-CURSED “works”,
and
therefore no man can be accepted with God
on the account of their SINFUL “works”;
which is the current Doctrine
and Teaching of the sacred Bible writings:
this will help us to understand the true
Eternal SPIRITUAL Sense
of such passages, as
Acts 10:35:
“But in every nation,
he that Fears Him ( God ),
and
works righteousness,
is accepted with Him.”

“For I will not dare to speak
of any of those things
which Christ
Has not Worked by me,
to make the Gentiles Obedient,
by word and deed,”

“Wherefore we labor, that,
whether present or absent,

acceptance with God
stands upon the foot of works.

The Hebrew word ( Strong’s 7613 )
s’eth, seh-ayth’; “an elevation;
figuratively, elation or cheerfulness;
exaltation in rank or character:
= be accepted, dignity, Excellency,
highness, raise up self, rising”,
for there is but one word in the original text,
which our translators render,
will you not be accepted?
signifies either Excellency,
as in Psalm 62:4:
They only consult to cast him down
from his Excellency:
they delight in lies:
they bless with their mouth,
but they curse inwardly.
Selah ( “Pause, Think
and Meditate about that” ),
and may Design the Dignity
and
PRIVILEGE of Primogeniture,
or
The Honor
of the FIRSTBORN’S Birth-Right,
as it does in:
Genesis 49:3:
“Reuben, you are my firstborn,
my might,
and
the beginning of my strength,
the Excellency of dignity,
and the Excellency of power”,
and
so be rendered,
will you not have the Excellency?
that is, shall not the Honor of the FIRSTBORN’S
Birth-Right of Primogeniture continue with you?
shall not the Honor and Privilege
of being the First-Born stay with you ?
( by you and your “Offering”
BEING ACCEPTED by GOD ?)
So that you , Cain, should not be afraid
that this Honorable “Acceptance”
and
Birth-Right EXCELLENCE
will be taken from you,
and
given to your younger brother,
Especially, since your younger brother, Able,
is willing to be subject to you,
and
ready to serve you;
which agrees with the latter part
of the text very well:
and
to you will be his ( Abel’s ) desire,
and
you ( Cain ) will rule over him;
because the word signifies an elevation,
or lifting up;
a lifting up of the countenance,
which was fallen, verse 5, 6,
and
then the sense is,
if you ( Cain ) had done well,
when you brought your offering,
you might have lifted up your face
without spot,
and
doubtless you would have done so;
but inasmuch as you have sinned
and
done evil,
and
which is to be seen
in your fallen countenance,
sin lies at the door of your Conscience;
when:
once the Door to your Conscience
is opened,
GUILT of your SIN Against GOD
will enter in,
and
make dreadful work;
as it did a little after;
which made Cain say,
“My punishment
is greater than I can bear.”
So, these words are not expressive
of “a day of visitation”
in a way of some “grace and mercy”
to Cain;
but are to be considered
as an expostulation with Cain
for Cain’s wrath and fury against God
( Cain having been “Wroth” with GOD,
because God Did NOT “Accept” Cain
OR Cain’s “Offering”),
and
for Cain’s fallen countenance,
and
God upbraiding him, for doing Evil
( Cain did Evil by Misrepresenting
and
PERVERTING the SYMBOLIC Ceremony
By Not OFFERING a BLOOD SACRIFICE,
which would have PICTURED
and
Ceremonially
HONORED JESUS’ Sacrifice,
for SIN.)
God “Upbraided” Cain
in order to awaken Cain’s conscience,
and
bring him to a full sense of his sin;
which was so far from proving
“a day of grace visitation” to Cain,
that it quickly issued in the utmost distress
in his mind,
and
Torture in his GUILTY Conscience
of SIN Against GOD.
And
even admitting that the word signifies
acceptance,
and
is to be rendered,
shall there not be an acceptance?
it is to be understood,
not of an acceptance of Cain’s Soul and Person,
but of an acceptance
of his Sacrifices and Services.
There is no acceptance
of any man’s Lost SINFUL SOUL or Person,
EXCEPT as WE as Lost SINFUL SOUL
or Person is considered
in
Jesus Christ the Mediator.
Now as there is no reason
to believe that Cain,
who was of the wicked one, the devil,
was ever in Jesus Christ,
or that Cain
was ever considered in Jesus
so there is no reason to conclude,
that Cain either was,
or
that it was ever possible for him to be,
accepted with God.
The text Does NOT speak of Cain
“doing well”
in a moral or spiritual,
but in a Ceremonial way;
and not at all of the acceptance of his person,
on the foot of so doing; but at most,
only of the acceptance of his sacrifice
and ceremonious services,
supposing his sacrifice and ceremonious services
were rightly performed.
